Harold L. Connell is the Chairman of CP Capital Group. Mr. Connell founded CP Capital Group and its predecessor companies in 1996.

Mr. Connell has more than thirty years of extensive experience in finance and investments and has consulted with many public and private companies nationwide. In addition to providing executive leadership for CP Capital Group, Mr. Connell is actively involved in the investment banking industry and has gained recognition internationally for his strategic vision and leadership in the area of corporate finance.

Following the acquisition of Security Bank, N.A. in January 2007—through CP Capital Bancorp and financed through a $30,000,000 private placement by CP Capital Securities—Mr. Connell was elected Chairman and CEO of CP Capital Bancorp and Security Bank (www.sbna.com) by the Board, a position he currently holds today.

Before establishing CP Capital, he was President and CEO of First Equity of Florida, a full service broker-dealer. Prior to that, Mr. Connell was President and CEO of Sendero Corporation, a software products developer for the financial services industry. He was Chief Financial Officer for Pan American Bank of Miami, European American Bank of New York, and Meritor Saving Bank of Philadelphia.

Mr. Connell holds a Masters of Business Administrations and a Bachelor of Arts (Mathematics) from the University of Florida, and he served in the United States Air Force.
